
Antwone Fisher grew up in foster care, facing hardship and homelessness before serving eleven years in the U.S. Navy. He went on to become a celebrated screenwriter, author, and producer, best known for his memoir Finding Fish and the feature film Antwone Fisher.
Over the past three decades, he has written for major studios, published three bestselling books, and earned recognition from the U.S. Library of Congress National Film Registry. His newest work, Reflections Beneath the Buckeye Trees: Notes from a Life, continues his journey of turning struggle into hope.
With more than three decades in Hollywood, Antwone Fisher has written and consulted on sixteen major studio projects. His acclaimed film Antwone Fisher, directed by Denzel Washington, earned a Writers Guild nomination for Best Original Screenplay, won the Humanitas Prize, and was honored by the U.S. Library of Congress National Film Registry. His credits also include contributions to blockbuster hits such as Rush Hour and ATL.
Antwone continues to develop new work for film, television, and stage, bringing to each project his distinctive voice, depth of character, and truth-driven storytelling. His current project is the action thriller Trick Bag.
